850,000 More employees are Geared for Giving

We are delighted that the Geared for Giving campaign counter has now surpassed the 850,000 employee mark. We are heading ever closer tot eh campaign target of 1 million!

This means that an additional 850,000 UK employees now have access tot he most effective way to give to charity, since the campaign launched last year.

If only 5% of these staff gave £5 per month through their pay, charities could be receiving an additional £2.5 million per year, now that these staff have access to a Workplace Giving scheme.

As Lennox Kaminski, Delivery Team member at Delive de France explains ‘This has got to be the best way to give to charity because what you give is tax free. So the charity you choose gets more money automatically on top of what you give. I don;t think there can be another situation where the tax man gives away something for nothing like that. I don;t think it matters how much you give. You can give a lot or a little – either way your money goes further because it’s tax free. If everyone gives a small amount it adds up to something big.’
