‘Unleash your charitable side’ urges ASOS, the online fashion store, to their employees and unleashed it has been. On the first day of the re-launch of their Workplace Giving Scheme employees pledged over £6,000 to numerous charities, with over half of employees based in their Hemel Hempstead location signing up.
Louise McCabe, Head of CSR at ASOS thought it was “fantastic that our colleagues are so generous. We really wanted to make it easy for people to donate to charities that are close to their own hearts and we’re delighted that so many are taking advantage of the scheme. We’re already eligible for the Government’s Gold Mark award. Amazing!”
“ASOS wants to support the scheme as a company too so we’re adding an extra £10 towards colleagues chosen charity for the first 60 sign ups and on top of that we’re giving a £10 ASOS sample sale voucher to the first twenty”.
The scheme was promoted in a fun and imaginative way to all employees and a guide dog puppy in training together with Dave, and his guide dog Qunice, visited the offices during the day to talk to all staff about the benefits the scheme brings to them.
Louise McCabe continues, “At ASOS we want to give colleagues the flexibility to choose where they want to give, and the support they need to make it as easy and efficient as possible. It’s been a great success at ASOS and we would encourage any company who hasn’t yet done so to get Geared for Giving!”
