Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has this week joined the national Geared for Giving Campaign and re-launched its Workplace Giving scheme to its 3,000 staff across the islands of the Outer Hebrides.
The scheme is being promoted to all Council staff across the Western Isles in the coming weeks. Although the scheme has been in place for a number of years, this is the first time that the Council has actively promoted the scheme, having recently signed up to the Geared for Giving Campaign.
Chief Executive of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, Malcolm Burr said: “The Comhairle is very proud to be taking part in the Geared for Giving campaign. In the current financial climate it can be hard for people to find the resources to give to charity, and we hope this way makes it more convenient for our staff to donate.”
Comhairle nan Eilean Siar joins a number of other local authorities across Scotland who have signed up in the last year to the Campaign including Argyll and Bute Council, East Ayrshire Council, Edinburgh City Council and Fife Council.
Join the growing number of employers who are Geared for Giving today.
