Revolution in Charity Giving

Renowned for its hip and trendy Revolution Vodka bars, Inventive Leisure is the company where employees have more fun than almost any other UK company according to the Sunday Times Best Companies to work for. It ranks in the top 40 Best Companies in the UK and now it has a new accolade to add to the list. It is one of the most generous companies too.

Senior managers have embraced the Geared for Campaign and introduced Workplace Giving throughout the company. They are actively promoting it to all staff and in just two weeks, 7.5% of the 2000 staff have signed up to the scheme and donated about £20,000 to different charities.

Carl Morris, head of marketing and sales, adds: “We are delighted but not surprised at how generous our staff are. They are a dynamic, caring group of people. At a senior level the company has also really taken on board the importance of being Geared for Giving.”

Lancashire based Inventive Leisure were singled out for motivating staff to give their best every day at the Best Companies awards. Perhaps we should add to that how much they are giving their best for charity and really making a difference.

In this economic climate, it’s not about giving more; it’s about giving more effectively.
