Geared Up Employers lead the way at National Awards

Geared Up Employers swept the board at the National Payroll Giving Excellence Awards held at the Treasury this week. Beaverbrooks picked up two awards for ‘Best Launch of a New Scheme’ and ‘The Most Successful Payroll Giving Promotion’, while ’Best Public Sector Employer Campaign’ went to the London Borough of Islington, who topped our league table of London’s most generous council recently.

Other winners included Haygarth, the London based integrated marketing agency who won ‘Best SME Campaign’ and Flight Centre, the Surrey based travel team, who were highly commended in the ‘Best Launch of a New Scheme’ category.

The awards were handed out by the Minister for the Third Sector, the Rt. Hon. Angela Smith MP and Financial Secretary, the Rt. Hon. Stephen Timms MP. Between them, these companies have raised nearly £100,000 for charity in this year alone and all have been examples of just what an enlightened Employer can achieve!
