Gucci Group has decided to launch the Workplace Giving scheme whereby employees donate via the Payroll.
Executive Vice President Global Human Resources, Karen Lombardo says “Gucci Group and our individual brands have a long history of supporting charitable organisations. We decided to launch the Workplace Giving scheme to encourage our employees to support their preferred charities and enable them to contribute at a personal level with the added benefit of corporate matching of their donations. We are also paying all administrative costs on behalf of the employee so they know each pound they donate goes directly to support the cause they have chosen.”
Karen stresses that the scheme helps to make the process of donating simple and effortless for the employee. The Gucci Group has launched it through its flexible benefits package. The Group did this, according to Karen Lombardo, because it felt it was important to give employees the choice to decide which charities they would like to contribute to as well as when and how much they would like to give.
