Rutland County Council, in the East Midlands, has recently joined the national Geared for Giving Campaign and launched a Workplace Giving scheme for its staff across this proudly independent county.
Helen Briggs, Chief Executive at Rutland County Council said: “The Council is very proud to be taking part in the Geared for Giving campaign. In the current financial climate it can be hard for people to find the resources to give to charity, and we hope this way makes it more convenient for our staff to donate.”
Rutland County Council joins a number of other local authorities across the UK who have signed up in the last year to the Campaign including Liverpool City, Stoke on Trent, Argyle & Bute, Swindon and Rochdale Councils.
