Workplace Giving monies continue to rise!

Recent figures released by HM Revenue and Customs show that monies raised in 2009-2010 were up by £2 million compared with the financial year 2008-2009.

Total monies raised by staff who give from their pay are now at the record level of £106 million per year with a further estimated £13 million being added through employer enhancement each year.

While this is great news, particularly in the current climate, the scheme could raise even more if only more staff had easy access to this fantastic scheme. While the Geared for Giving Campaign has opened up the door to nearly 1 million more employees, we still have a long way to go with a further 10 million staff estimated to work for an employer who does not yet offer the scheme.
